Nancy R. Mead

Dr. Nancy R. Mead is a Fellow and Principal Researcher at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and Adjunct Professor of Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests include software security, software requirements engineering, and software architectures. Dr. Mead show more directed software engineering education at SEI from 1991-1994. As senior technical staff member at IBM Federal Systems, her responsibilities included developing and managing large real-time systems. She is a Fellow of IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society, and an ACM Distinguished Educator. Dr. Carol C. Woody has been a senior member of the SEI technical staff since 2001 and now manages the Cyber Security Engineering team, which builds capabilities in defining, acquiring, developing, measuring, managing, and sustaining secure software for highly complex networked systems and systems of systems. She lead engagements with industry and government to improve the trustworthiness and reliability of software products and capabilities. Dr. Woody is a senior member of the IEEE Computer Society and ACM. show less
