Fabulous forest romp? Check. But world building, lore, and passages full of academic depth? Biggest check! I absolutely LOVE his much The author emphasizes consent, not only for their readers but also for the characters within the story. It also shouldn't be a breath of fresh air, but my goodness it's refreshing to have an author intentional writing FMCs that are 35+. And the MMC...like Vecna with antlers. I kid. But do I? Hm. Okay, maybe that's something I'll need to figure out.

The only show more downside for me was the length...of the novella, that is! Because of it's girth (or lack thereof) - again, of the novella, people, honestly - it obviously has to find it's footing in love and lust extremely quickly. It's truly a short and sweet snippet of the Second Circle and I was genuinely disappointed when I went to turn the page enthusiastically and reached an end point with our leads. Hopefully, this isn't the end of their story all together, and I look forward to delving into more of Mist's work! show less

Sharp, Dark, and Addictively Built

Fated Rebirth hooked me with its worldbuilding and kept me invested through every shift in tension. The mix of mythic power, modern grit, and slow-burn chemistry feels fresh, and the atmosphere has this steady, simmering intensity that works so well for a dark romantasy.

Violet and Rowan’s dynamic is complicated in all the right ways, and the supernatural politics add real weight without overwhelming the story. It’s bold, imaginative, and full of the kind show more of details that make the world feel alive.

A gripping, dark fantasy romance that delivers exactly what I look for in this genre. I loved it.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt a book hit me this hard. One More Chance grabbed me by the heart from the first page and refused to let go. Levi’s journey of regret, redemption, and groveling is raw and real, and Sloane’s strength and resilience make every moment between them pulse with tension.

This book isn’t just romantic angst—it’s emotional chaos, heartbreak, slow-burn redemption, and moments of hope that feel like a lifeline. The stakes are high, the characters are layered, show more and the chemistry? Explosive. I kept thinking about them long after I put the book down.

If you love dark, angsty second-chance romance with characters who feel real and deeply flawed, this one is a must-read. It left me thinking, questioning, and wanting more—it’s impossible to forget.

I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did, but One More Chance completely pulled me in. After dying in a car crash, Levi wakes up twelve years in the past, right before he walked out on his wife, Sloane. Now he’s trying to fix the damage he caused and fight for his family as the world begins to unravel.

Told entirely from Levi’s POV, his remorse felt raw and real. I usually avoid books with infidelity, but his journey of redemption, healing, and growth kept me hooked. The show more suspense added even more tension, and I found myself genuinely rooting for him.

It’s messy, emotional, and honest a story about love, consequences, and choosing each other again and again. Beautiful and unforgettable.
