I don't think I ever finished reading this series when I was a teenager, so when I saw the kickstarter with the amazing Beauvais cover, the nostalgia kicked in and I pledged. This has 2 extra comics that were never published so I was sure I had never read those at least.
What I didn't know is that the series really never ended, and then these last 2 comics still didn't finish it. So I enjoyed reliving my past with this, but then I was disappointed that there wasn't (and will never be) any show more closure to this crazy, totally 80's, genre-crossing, action comic.
The comics are exactly as they were before, including grammatical errors, really cool panel layouts, a mix of shaded and non-shaded panels on the same page, some sex, lots of violence and at some point, a sorceress, a medieval king, a dragon-man, and a British-style punk rocker all sitting around having coffee at a cafe in some big city as if it was totally normal.
This book looks great on my shelf and makes me smile whenever I see it, so I would say, if you read this when it was originally out, you should pick it up - smiling's good for ya. show less
