Since reading Essence of Magic, I've found myself thinking about how the universe started. Harvester Academy is the perfect book to answer any questions you may have for this series.
The detailing in this story is phenomenal, as is the world-building. I could see everything as if I were a part of it. The characters were relatable and well-written. Dennis' mother can be rather annoying, but under the circumstances she's dealing with, it's completely understandable.
This book is one that you can show more fall into and lose yourself for hours on end, which is always an amazing feeling. There were many times throughout the day where I'd turn the app off just to immediately open it up again.
The twists toward the end were shocking and emotional. It took me the entire book to connect the dots, but when I finally realized it, it made so much sense. I'm so excited to read more of this series!

Most books about magical people typically follow the same plot or share the same details - this one doesn't. This is the most unique book based around magic that I've read; I had a hard time putting it down at night.
The characters were likable and relatable. Ruby is your typical teenager, so she's easy to relate to (other than the stress of being a Fae, of course). She and her friends reminded me a lot of my own friend group.
L.J. Rivers did a great job at world-building; I could picture show more everything she described clearly. She included plenty of detailing, without being overly-descriptive.
Although it was a bit of a fast-paced story, I didn't have any problems with keeping up with things. The last half of the book had me on edge the whole time with all of the twists and surprise details. I will definitely be looking into this series later!
