This was gory ride into horror!
A small backstory without giving away spoilers:
Boy Scouts head off on a camping trip into the wilderness of the Kentucky backwoods and they were suppose to only be gone just a few short days, but when family do not hear from them then they decide to go on a rescue mission.
Sam's brother Kenny is one of the boy scouts and she is worried something terrible has happened so she reaches out to the local police and they send one of their officers (Tom) to help out. show more
In the meantime, there are some criminals that have something going on in those same woods and they are trying to cover their tracks as they don't want people invading their domain.
Everyone that is involved does not realize that a myth/legend is also roaming the woods (the Goat Man) and by the time they find out might be too late as when he makes his appearance known is when the crap hits the fan and the blood starts to fly!
What happened to the boy scouts? Does the family and the officer find the boy scouts? Does anyone make it out of the woods alive? No spoilers here as you will need to read the book!
Thoughts:
Once the rescue mission begins of finding the boy scouts the pace picks up, but when the Goat Man makes an appearance the book takes off like a rocket! I could not turn the pages fast enough as so much happens after the 60% mark that I could not put the book down and read the last 40% in about three hours as when the blood started flying I was reaching for my gore suit gear! Giving this book five "Splatter" stars!

Scary Scarecrow!
A small backstory:
Frank and Jane are on a road trip with her sister, Mary and Mary's friend, Cindy, but they are planning on dropping Mary and Cindy off at college first then they have plans of their own, but things go awry when Frank takes a detour off the main highway and they end up crashing their car not too far away from cornfields.
Not too long after the car crash, crows swoop in disrupting the scene causing everyone to flee into the cornfields which turns out to be the show more biggest mistake of their lives as something is just not right with the cornfields and besides crows that are after them there is something more deadly that stalks the cornfields and it is looking for a sacrifice!
Thoughts:
I was wanting a short horror story to jump into that would give me "chills and thrills" so I jumped into this book as I have had this book for awhile but just now reading it. The author has been releasing these horror short serials, so I have been grabbing them as they release.
This was my first one of those books and I literally read this book within a few hours as there is quite a bit of horror action right away with no let-up through the book. Crows, cornfields, and a scarecrow- what could possibly go wrong?! Read the book and you will find out! Looking forward to reading the other books in the series! Giving this book five Harvesting Horror stars.

Stalking Evil!
Backstory:
Jack and his girlfriend Jill along with his two teenagers, Allen and Kim decide to take a vacation out to the country - a place that Jack has been to before with his kids but Jack wants to spend time with Jill and show her a fun time.
Though there will be anything but fun as one of the town citizens is gruesomely murdered and the Sheriff is having a hard time solving the case - it is possible that the Shaw family who is considered to be cursed could be behind the show more killings.
There will be hell to pay though when Jack's family crosses paths with the Shaw family as no one is safe from the evil that has possessed one of the family members and Jack and his family will have to do everything they can to survive!
That is about all I can give on a backstory without giving away spoilers so if you want to know what happens then go read this book!
Thoughts:
The world building with this book was a little slow and really didn't kick in with lots of action till after the 50% mark of the book then it went into some crazy twists and turns which kept me glued to my kindle.
I would consider this to be a twisted slasher/possession story that goes into gory graphic details with the murders that happen within this book and the pace of the story becomes faster after the half way point.
The only reason this book is not getting five stars is because there seemed to be too much romance/sex between the characters Jack and Jill and couple of other characters in the story - there was quite a bit of it throughout the book which to me it is okay to have some but not to have the first half of the book to be mostly sex with a trickle of slasher action. The last half of the book was more slasher action which was what I waiting for to kick in. All in all though the writing is smooth and as always I really do love the writing style of this author. Giving this one four "Stalker Slasher" stars! show less

A creepy version of The Goatman Legend
Boy Scouts, Meth Dealing pastor, Good guy cop, and one good and one bad Diner waitress and The Goat Man all converge in a quick, action packed, messy tale with a nod to the folklore surrounding the Goatman of Kentucky. I was rooting for the "good guys" but as to whether they triumphed, survived or perished, you have to.find out on your own.
