About the Author
Anne R. Dick was born Anne Browning Williams in West Englewood, New Jersey on January 16, 1927. She studied at Washington University. She married poet Richard Rubenstein and together they started the poetry magazines Inferno and Gryphon. Rubenstein died in 1958 from an allergic reaction to show more tranquilizers. Soon afterward, she began an affair with author Philip K. Dick. During their six year relationship, she was his muse. Her memoir, The Search for Philip K. Dick, was published in 1995.
