In the past few years I have read a lot of books about how big tech shapes modern society, but few have taken such a systemic perspective as "The Platform Society." The book focuses on how platforms impact public values, and how their design, far from being neutral, has a pervasive impact on every field to which they are applied - education, health, the news, etc.
