About the Author
Former Detective Superintendent Tony Cook has 42 years service in law enforcement as a career detective, having been a Senior Investigating Officer with Greater Manchester Police. He remains a fully accredited PIP level III IV investigator with the College of Policing. He was a National SIO Advisor show more actively involved in supporting numerous UK high-profile serious and complex crime cases, has delivered training inputs to SIODP, DIDP, and IMSC courses, and is a member of the International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA). He has written numerous published articles relating to major crime investigation, and is the co-author of Blackstone's Crime Investigators' Handbook. Toney is currently Head of Operations with the National Crime Agency, in charge of reactive and pro-active teams working within the CEOP Investigations command. He has a first-class Honours degree in criminology and social policy, and a qualification in teaching in the adult learning sector. show less
