He was a member of the San Francisco Mime Troupe and served as a Director-in-Residence at The Public Theater. He famously co-founded the trailblazing theater collective Pomo Afro Homos. His prominent solo and ensemble works include Slight Variance and I Think It's Gonna Work Out Fine.
