- Brian Freeman is an acclaimed American playwright, director, actor, and educator who openly self-identifies as a Black gay man. He was a member of the San Francisco Mime Troupe and served as a Director-in-Residence at The Public Theater. He famously co-founded the trailblazing theater collective Pomo Afro Homos. His prominent solo and ensemble works include Slight Variance and I Think It's Gonna Work Out Fine.
