Dawn Rae Downton

Dawn Rae Downton has written the story of the lives of her grandmother (Ethel) and mother (Marion), who lived with an abusive husband/father. The story unfolds in Newfoundland between 1922 and 1957. It is a turbulent time, both within the Wiseman family, and in Newfoundland with World War II's devastating effects on the small country, and the joining of confederation with Canada.
