It not only helps one find synonyms, for more interesting word choices and exact meaning, but it compares and contrasts the various choice so one may pick just the right word.

I love this book! Current thesauruses all give the same old options, but "Synonyms" dusts off perfectly good words that were, perhaps, commonplace in the 1940s, but appear fresh now.
