"They call me Woolly" is about how animal's name can foreshadow information about them. They show an African Alligator and how you can gather from his name that he is from Africa. Polar Bears come from where it is cold hence the Polar part of their name. Barn Owls live in Barns and the name gives that away. I never really gave much thought to the meaning behind animals names but this is a cute way to show children that. I would definitely like this book to read to my future classroom.
This book goes over the steps it takes to build a house. It would be a great read for children that are interested in building with blocks, or are moving into a new house that their parents are building!
This book is about how to build a house from the ground-up. Student can connect to this because they might have family members in construction.
