Summary: this book is about the Mohawk tribe. they had many traditions that they would perform. The Mohawk tribe loved to play lacrosse and other sports they could make up. the book says that today that many of the Mohawk people have become very successful business men and women and hard workers.
My Reaction: I am like wow I can relate because I am Cherokee native and I remember as a kid making up games to play to pass the time.
Classroom extensions:
1. we could go outside when nobody is out show more there and each student make up a game(non violent) and we try and play it.
2.we can have the students draw a picture of where they see themselves in like 20 years.
3.we can have the students tell their classmates their traditions even if it is like getting up and going to church on Sunday morning. show less
