A rebel challenges a usurper.
3/4 (Good)
The first half is slow, but once it gets around to proper Robin Hooding it's pretty fun. Better than the Errol Flynn version.

2026 movie #48. 1949. Wayne (Best Actor Oscar nom) leads the charge to Iwo Jima. It's mostly a parade of war movie cliches but put together well. It effectively blends new footage and actual war footage. The flag raised at the end is the actual flag from the famous photo.
2022 movie #138. 1958. Filmed in Technicolor on a tropical island, this film is in bad need of restoration. The colors are faded and the music was tinny. The movie isn't very good (I gave up after 30 min) so I don't expect anyone to front the cash for a restoration.
