Michael Frank Rohr

Michael Rohr is an author who crafts fun and imaginative children’s stories filled with daring adventures and silly laughs. Before pursuing writing, this Port Macquarie, NSW local trained as an infantry soldier in the Australian Army and transitioned to a fruitful career caring for others as a registered nurse for over two decades before becoming a dedicated nurse manager.
While Michael loves his job, he realised he needed a productive outlet for his creativity, thus sparking his calling as an author. This devoted father of two allows his imagination to flow freely whenever he tells off-the-cuff bedtime tales to bring joy to his kids — James, 9, and Zsofia, 12.
Michael’s books are tailor-made for parents who want to bond and create fun, exciting memories with their kids before the day ends. As a writer, Michael has an innate ability to glean inspiration from anywhere — even his son’s blue and green monkey plush toy, Monkey, who is now a protagonist in one of his books!
When Michael’s not working in healthcare or writing, he loves spending time with his family, enjoying nature, pursuing self-discovery, surfing, and playing the guitar. It is said that his son loves his Monkey stories so much, Michael ends up telling him a new one every night!
