McEwan, Ed.D., is the author of over twenty-five books on parenting, teaching, and school administration, In addition to being a teacher, principal, and school librarian, she has also served as assistant superintendent for instruction in a suburban Chicago district. She has been honored show more by the Illinois Principals Association, the Illinois State Board of Education, and the National Association of Elementary Principals (as the National Distinguished Principal from Illinois for 1991). She is now a partner in the McEwan-Adkins Consulting Group, writes a newspaper column for the Oro Valley Explorer, and speaks regularly on radio and in person. show less
