One of the best 'how-to' books there is. Funny and helpful guide to breastfeeding successfully, with plenty of tips for the practical side and the mental preparation needed. Breasts can do some amazing things, much more impressive than providing places for tassels, wandering hands, and some people's eyes to rest. So that's what they're for!
this is a great book. i was surprised that some reviewers on amazon claimed that it was too lighthearted to be worthwhile. it does have kind of a funny, easygoing tone. (for example, she advised telling family members who may be opposed to/not supportive of breastfeeding that michael jordan was breastfed and michael jackson was not.) but it also has a lot of really interesting information about the benefits of nursing and a lot of practical "how-to" tips. an important book
A lighthearted and humorous look at breastfeeding in modern times that's full of factual information and down-to-earth answers to the universal questions breastfeeding mothers have. This book speaks frankly about possible changes in sexual relationships, offers overwhelming support for the benefits of breastfeeding, helps mothers overcome their fear of nursing in public, and gives tips for continuing to breastfeed if you return to work.
For the most part this is a very informative and good book; however, if you are unable to exclusively breastfeed due to low milk supply or some other reason this book makes you feel very guilty.
