This is Eliot Elisofon's personal diary in the remote Udjong Kulon Nature Reserve in western Java. Included are many photo made there in color and black and white. There is much information about the Java fauna and flora as well technical information for wildlife photographers such as setting up blinds and how to attract and track desired subjects. There are memoir like passages of his experience in Africa, and New Guinea including his account of Michael Rockefeller's disappearance in New show more Guinea. The book has an introductory letter from Charles A. Lindbergh who apparently once visited the peninsula of Ujung Kulon. show less
