I think this is a fantastic look at gender, sex, etc. and how it affects each aspect of our lives. Wood covers both male and female issues and does it well. This book is full of fantastic examples and it is actually an interesting read.
Good, basic introductory information about the field of communication. Nothing too deep or complex, but a good start.

The introduction seems bland, banal, same old same old, it is an introduction to theories of the driest topics in the world. I forgive you.
