There are a number of stereotypes about the South in this book, but that is mostly because many Southerners play into them extremely well. As someone who was born and raised in the South, I've seen and heard most of the things listed in this book, some to my chagrin. Still, it's a fun read.
Good or bad, the South is what it is, and this book is a good little guide for those who don't quite understand it. Another little palette-cleanser/coffee table book that I like to browse through every now show more and again. show less

A book of a hundred-odd line drawings about ways to be cruel. For example, as a man hunches over an open cage next to a table where restaurant diners scream, the caption reads simply, "Release rats."
