We all know Bill Engvall, the PG-13 hilarious Texas funny-man from the Blue Collar Comedy Crew, but before you read this, you don't know anything about him. you'll laugh and cry (hopefully not at the same time) while he tells you every thing about him from A to Z, from his hopeless love-life to his carpeted car to his eighth grade creative writing class project and his hatered of brussel sprouts. I hope I didn't spoil anything for you.
I enjoyed hearing this book read by him. It sounded like an old friend telling you about his life. My only complaint is the abrupt ending. I would've liked to hear more about his life after he came into show biz. Hopefully that book will be coming later.
Just a Guy: Notes from a Blue Collar Life
I Picked Up This Book Because: Curiosity.
The Story:
Bill seems to be the definition of an all american guy. He grew up in a great time when kids went out to play and tv and movies were a treat. He had his bumps and bruises along the way, both literally and figuratively. I enjoyed hearing his story. From the time in the little league dugout to the frat parties to the beginning of his family.
The Random Thoughts:
