to me, the writing seemed to be written for a least-common denominator, which meant almost everything about the tech, the civilisations, the history, etc, even the dialogue, was written more like a show more dick and jane kindergarten story than it was for a science fiction book.

Only a very short story but very well written. The concept is interesting and I was drawn straight into the story. I'll definitely be picking up more in this series. It is very short but that shouldn't be a problem if it is still free.

A good short story about time travel and paradoxes. But it is one of those time travel stories that will give you a headache if you try to think it through. :)

ok but depressing (intentionally so) - not what I read for recreation.
