I found Healed Without Scars to be a very insightful book and one that I plan to reread. It’s filled with life giving nuggets for those of us who have some lingering scars from life’s fires. He starts off the book by presenting the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in a manner that I’ve never looked at the text before. Their survival of such a fiery trial alone is a great testament to the power of God but to come out without residue from the fire is amazing. However, many of us show more haven’t fared so well. Yes, we may have survived abandonment, disappointment, abuse or whatever your “fiery furnace” was but we didn’t come out with everything intact if we’re honest. Those lingering scars leak over into our present and future emotional, relational, and spiritual lives. Bishop David Evans not only helps one to identify scars but sheds a message of hope and wholeness through God. I highly recommend this book. show less
