Oh my. I can't really give this one to students, can I? It opens with such power that it feels like a punch in the stomach. Everyday life in Sarajevo under siege, the community of international reporters and how they cope with the challenges of their profession are interesting and well written, but all the romantic plots are painfully clichéd, flat, uninteresting. However, the opening scene hit very hard even when it appeared a second time, with more context. It was a very mixed experience.
I like this story, though I don't like mysteries.
A main character is a member of the orchestra!

At first,Barston Symphony Orchestra arrived in Barcelona. One of the member of the orchestra lost her double bass.At that time in London, the picture painted by Cezanne was stolen. Then, someone with her orchestra fell from his room and died.-What is a true?
I thought a charm of the book is human relations like a drama of suspense. And a character was individualized. So I feel attracted to the story.
This is a story of the missing Penny's doublebass. And at the same time, the orchestra manager, Frank was killed. In addition to that penny's boyfriend,Simon desappeared.

I like this book because I like mystery very much. This story includes murder and also love story. I've played violin for six years in orchestra, so I can feel close to this story. Through reading, I was interested, I wanted to kwou who is the suspect of the missing doble bass and murder.
