Ruby Millar

She was born in Scotland, then lived in England until she moved to the U.S. in 1959. During World War II she served as a Petty Officer in the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS). Prior to entering the WRNS, she graduated from the London School of Economics with B.A. in Sociology. In the U.S. she show more graduated with a M.A. in Sociology from Columbia University. After a stint in theater and television, her professional life included research in health and geriatric care. She retired in 1993 as Senior Research Associate at the Health Policy Institute of Brandeis University in Massachusetts. She later moved to Sarasota, Florida 050 show less
