The World's Strangest True Stories: FATE's Library of the Paranormal and the Unknown (The Best of FATE Magazine) by The Editors of FATE
This was a fun read.
Stories that are fun to ponder. There is so much to the world and the human psyche that we do not begin to understand.

Three stars for this as alien abduction tales and other strange 'unexplained' stories are not really my thing. I expected that this might be a little different to how it is and if you're into that kind of thing it'll likely be perfect for you but it's not for me. Narration is good although there are some pronunciation anomolies such as several times a "c" is pronounced as a "k" when it should be "s" such as a Cessna plane called a "Kessna" instead of Sessna and in'k'essant for incessant.

Upon reading Mysteries and Monsters of the Sea, one can certainly tell that the stories were written by amateurs. The book is not near as interesting as the title would suggest. For the most part, the book is composed of several stories of the Loch Ness monster & its similar "cousins" (for lack of a better term. The stories are so much alike that they border on being redundant.
Few stories in the book have to do with ships, but of course, the vague similarities between the Titanic & the show more Titan of the novel Futility were included. show less
