I have to say, I was quite disappointed in this book. It is a beautiful book -- a quick flip through the pages promises a fun mystery with tons of places to hide a variety of clues. Unfortunately, the pages don't actually deliver on these promises and once I finished, I couldn't help wishing I could ask for my time back. On the plus side, it only took a couple of hours to go through and, as I mentioned before, the pages are quite lovely. I feel like the Atkinson sisters had a great idea with show more this book but were unable to follow through to tie-in the story and the technique.
I glanced at the user rating for this book on Amazon.com and was quite surprised to see that it has been given 4 out of 5 stars with 38 reviews. I'm going to have to go flip through the reviews now to see if perhaps I've missed something monumental... show less

I loved this Journal, the idea is so beautiful to tell a story through the eyes of a housewife whom lost everything she cared for, through scraping until she is killed. I hated the ending but I can't remove this book from my mind.

I found the layout of the book inspiring. I became very involved in Amy's life. The journaling pages were amazing and inspiring. I was a fast read that quickly sucked me in and left me thinking about it for a long time after I put the book down.
