A treasure trove of knowledge about needlework, which gives concise definitions and example images.
Only excerpted about 6 pages of the whole. Some information on the history of beadwork , explaining that beads in England were in use in the Middle Ages and by 1582 a sizeable value of the imports to England were "beades of bone, box, christall and wood of all sortes", Also copied and example purse from 1630-40. copied a page or two of techniques and an illustration of loom woven beads from 1830, and beaded decoration from 1920's sold by the yard. The pages I grabbed have been a helpful show more glimpse of the book and reminded me that it has a great deal to say about beads and embellishments. show less
