This book includes instructions on how to make a hand-made loom, how to use an Ashford Knitter's Loom, how to pin weave, how to use a weavette, and how to free-form weave on found objects. The most valuable part for me is that the instructions for the weavette include a good enough picture to make one of your own. (Unfortunately the company that was making them had some kind of problem and stopped about 5 months after I discovered they existed and 6 months before I decided to buy one). show more Although I figured out much about free-form weaving on my own, I found the pictures inspirational. What really bugged me about this book was some of the photos were really blurry - it would have been a lot better, imo, if they had all been in focus. Otherwise, it had a nice variety of projects. The last thing that bothered me about it was it seemed to be promoting a specific loom, and that kinda got on my nerves a little too.

Eh. Mostly pretty pictures of the artist's work and instructions on collage techniques. I have better books on collage techniques and the amount of information on the process of altering books was not worth the price of admission. I recommend getting from a library, not owning.
