Mormon soldier is bamboozled into joining a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) unit whose work had to be valid since, as the author concludes, it's budget hadn't yet been cut nor the program disallowed to exist. Later the author implies that he was persuaded to volunteer to make greater sense of his 'visionary messages' resulting from an earlier incident of head trauma. He argues for the superiority of remote viewing over tarot cards or channeling as being science-based but supplementary with show more other hard data. This book is Gnostic in orientation, reliant on the validity of hypnotic techniques, shrouded in borrowed military and intelligence terminology. This book fits into New Age/folklore genres. show less
OK, so I heard this author on Coast to Coast, got his other book Psychic Warrior and had to hear more. Heard some of the CDs but got the "complete kit" and really enjoyed how it covered a larger variety of concepts than simply the remote viewing. Even as a skeptic at first, I learned some great "focus" skills. Boils down to this in my studies of the esoteric and metaphysical. In things like this, it is as much as disproving as proving. Consider the theories of "dark energy" (and no, not show more referring to my ex).

Here's a good discussion on remote viewing: https://skepdic.com/remotevw.html

It might be a little too 'Hollywood' style, for the hype I guess, but this was the book that got me interested in Remote Viewing in the first place, so I guess it served its purpuse afterall.
