Close to home in the way it depicts this disease-ladden society that is so paranoid about contagion. Makes us think (and perhaps dread). Obvious parallels with today's obsession with plague-driven paranoia.
I gave this five stars because it haunts me. I read it back when it came out, then started thinking about it at odd moments years later without remembering what book it was. I had to plug many different search terms into Google to finally figure it out. I read it again and remembered why it was so haunting. I'm sure I'll read it for a third time in the future.
