Short biography
Natalie Jane Prior was born in Brisbane, Australia, in November, 1963, a momentous month in which President Kennedy was shot, C.S. Lewis died, and Doctor Who started on British television. Her father cherished vain hopes that she would grow up to take over his engineering business, but at a tender age she apparently told him that she did not want to be "a dumb old engineer", and decided that she wanted to be a writer instead. She has never seriously wanted to be anything else, and considers herself extremely blessed that she has been able to turn her childhood dream into a reality.

A short, illustrated novel about two children, Ava and Jack, and the pair of dragons their family fosters as part of the “Dragons At Home” project. Lots of mischief and mayhem ensues. This is amusing and was a successful book to read aloud to my class. Would read aloud again.

This one is a bit different from the others, as the characters have gone on camp -- they have adult supervision (both human and dragon) but they’re largely away from civilisation, so their subsequent adventure involves a scavenger hunt and stumbling across criminals rather than getting into trouble at school or in other public spaces.

The story ends with the characters heading off on another adventure, which is more of a cliff-hanger ending than the previous books had. I hope this means show more there will be a fifth book. show less

Really enjoyed this story and tried to get my 3rd grade son to read it. I think it's great for boys or girls. A really fun, suspensful, cute chapter book. I'm hoping he'll still give it a chance. I loved it.
