Harry Lerner (1932–2025)

I really like your book, both content and style. To read about how a business man works --- go to it, full speed ahead -- and to read about things we have in common (I'm a book fair junkie on a small scale, and my B.A. was in International Relations) are fun. I liked seeing old friends among the testimonials, Karen Hoyle, Julian Plante, Gretchen Wronka, Steve Gammel, and others. I liked seeing the photographs, especially those from the 70s and your father's store on Nicollet Island. My aunt show more Olga, who lived above the Island Cycle, would send me to the store to buy a jelly roll to have with coffee. I was young and little, shorter than the counter. I guess you now have settled the score with Captain Harold Echols. And I like the design. So many books nowadays are cluttered, but yours is lively and spacious. I'm a reader who always pays attention to the colophon, so I appreciated your section on that.Congratulations on a job well done.
