Fascinating histories of Boston's neighborhoods. At least, as far as 1970. The authors seem to despise every major change in traffic circulation--with good reason! They also discuss urban renewal as it is happening. I'm sure some of the buildings on these tours have changed or are perhaps gone. 2010 Boston is NOT 1970 Boston, that's for sure. Who wants to take a tour with me?
This book focuses on the intersection of teaching and research. By examining how research can fit within and trasform the work of teaching, it offers a different perspective to teachers doing research.
If you are doing research on, with, or around teachers, this is a very useful book. If you are a teacher involved in action research, this is even more useful... Includes information about how to make sense of data....

Cummings, Percy Bysshe Shelley and William Blake, modern metrical theory and prose style. In show more addition to a brief editorial introduction there is a valuable bibliography. show less
