copyright 1948. This is one big heavy dog breed book. I will need to explore this over some time to let you know about it. Black and white pictures. Looks very detailed with rules for sheep dog trails, how to train your foxhound.. I only just skimmed it but will let you know.

The species portrayed are redshank, meadow pipit, sparrow-hawk, little owl, coal tit, corn bunting, wheatear, sedge warbler, reed warbler, brambling, whitethroat, red-backed shrike, house-sparrow, tree-sparrow, blackcap, show more herring gull, rook, stonechat, oyster-catcher, swift, goldcrest, wood warbler, curlew and great crested grebe. A good example of the classic non-fiction Ladybird Book. show less
