“Ten little monkey jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head. Mother called the doctor and the doctor said, ‘No more monkeys jumping on the bed!’”

The well-known children's nursery rhyme uses repetition to help young readers learn sequence and numbers as they count the monkeys who fall off the bed. This oversized book, the Child’s Play version, has die-cut circles that encourage the child to interact with the brightly-colored illustrations as well as with the words.

Young show more readers are sure to enjoy singing the song and seeing how the mother and the doctor react as another monkey falls off the bed.

Very animated and fun, one of our children's favorite counting rhymes. For some reason, the idea of the doctor getting more and more frustrated by the monkeys sent my children into hysterics.
Monkeys like to jump on beds and cause trouble. This is a great story to read aloud because you can be dramatic and funny with voices in this book. This read aloud book is wonderful for 1 year old children to 4 year old children. This book is more of a feel good and laugh however counting is something covered in this book that is great for beginning learners.
Ten Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed is a book that uses a fun and funny counting song to teach children their numbers. The characters are mischievous and amusing moneys! I like this book because of the song element and its humor, and I would incorporate this book into my teaching when doing math. This book is suitable for Grades PreK-1 and would fit themes on math operations, animals, and/or music in literature.
