A very interesting and engaging account of a fascinating person that most people have never heard of (except for sailors when they talk of the Beaufort wind scale). I didn't know much of the man going into this, but I'm glad to have discovered him.
Also, having never heard of Alfred Friendly, I will now have to seek out more of his writing. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
