[In 1948] he returned to the pulpit as minister at the First Unitarian Church of Los Angels." Rev. Fritchman endured interrogation by the House Un-American Activities Committee and faced other tribulations as he maintained his liberal work. About the author: Stephen Fritchman was a Unitarian minister in the 1940s and director of Youth Work and editor of "Christian Register for the AUA (American Unitarian Association). He worked with several progressive organizations, including the Progressive Front, which was a coalition of several political groups, especially those with leftist and centrist interests.
