This may be more of a review of the facility than the book, but what a place. Not being an engineer or mechanic or a manual laborer I was so taken with this plant and just marvelled at what was on display. There are 32 acres and most of it is taken up with machinery with easy to read legends and descriptions of what went on there. My wife, who had little interest starting out, and I spent hours just wandering trying to imagine a workday, much less a career, spent making pig iron. The book show more with many pictures and accompanying text help fill in what the imagination lacks. The book without the visit of course does not give the perspective of just how large and dangerous the place is, but is quite a reminder of what we saw. show less
