Frances Gapper

The first time I read this book, I didn't like it. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. The second time round (after about a year), I decided to read it again before giving it away... and I fell in love with the stories! There's a lot of lesbianism; Gapper took the old myths, fairy tales, miracles, folklore, and turned them into everyday occurances. It's fun and familiar. I especially liked the story 'Pink and Blue', I found it very Francesca-Lia-Block-ish (my favourite author). Now I have to show more think twice before giving this book away. show less
