This is the first time I have had to add a book to Goodreads, and man! am I surprised! I got this book from my university library upon a recommendation that I ought to read some Evdokimov.
Though this book takes a rather broad overview of nearly the whole practice of Christianity. Such books I generally write off (we do not need anymore short summaries!) but this book had a great spin/perspective: works of the early church fathers, Orthodox traditions, mysticism and modernity/psychology are show more seamlessly blended into a very cohesive and strong thesis. show less
