I love to crochet and Leisure Arts is one of the few publishers on the craft so I buy their books. But I'm really beginning to wonder if their board of directors is made up of knitters who hate the craft of crochet--I mean, could they try any harder to make crocheted apparel look really stupid and out-of-date?

Why do I buy their books? Again, they're one of the few publishers that carry crochet patterns and usually I will find one or two patterns that I know I can adapt to something I'd show more REALLY like to wear. I just wish someone at their company would look at some fashion magazines from this decade--or even look out the window (well, that may not work since they're located in Little Rock, AR)--and see what real people are wearing show less
