This book is all about Dogs as house pets and gives a lot of factual information about them. I found this book to be a little boring; however, i know that I am not the target audience for this kind of book. The book does offer some good information to young children that will allow them to get to know more about dogs as house pets. I did like the pictures of the dogs within the story and how they correlated with the sentences on the page. I also liked how the pictures were big and the words show more were kept to a minimum. show less

Normalizes all kinds of homes made by man. Setting is USA. This book is excellent for print knowledge. It also includes a table of contents, index and glossary.

Used to focus on the letter A and build on predictions.
