Loved this!
This was a great story. Football, romance, and hot guys, what else do you want? I really liked both characters a lot. Diego had a hard childhood, bouncing around in foster homes and feeling like no one wants him. Garrett had a lot on his shoulders, but stayed optimistic and is a good leader. I loved the two of them together, they fit so well and both helped each other feel more confident and be happier. Very cute story!

This was a fast, fluffy, low angst read. I wasn't particularly in love with the characters but I liked them alright. The football (or rugby, as the rest of the world calls it :P ) stuff went over my head (never watched a game in my life), so those parts kind of bored me. I was glad Jason wasn't just suddenly gay and that his bisexuality was acknowledged. I was also pleasantly surprised by Jason's dad, he turned out to be a good guy even though I could see "overbearing dad who lives his show more unfulfilled dreams through his son" written all over him.
All in all a fun read. show less

Initially I thought I'd struggle with the alternate first person in present tense but I soon got used to it.
And thankfully the American Football parts weren't overpowering (because I don't know too much about the game).
This ended up being an engaging coming out and self discovery story with a backdrop of American Football and two engaging leads.
There were a couple of continuity type errors that could have been avoided and one stake instead of steak but on the whole it was well written and show more edited.
Bought the rest of the series. show less
