Brody Holden is a star hockey player whose skill and good looks have rocketed him to the top of his game. Though he often fantasizes about Bianca, his sexy and curvy sports agent, he knows she’s off-limits. That doesn’t stop him from teasing her whenever he can—or making poor choices that land him and Bianca in trouble.
Bianca Brooks is torn between hating Brody for his arrogance and falling for his charm. But her mixed feelings won’t stop her from doing her job, which is to protect show more him and his already less-than-stellar reputation, no matter what. When they’re roped into a fake marriage, they’ll have to decide if the chemistry between them is real or just a fling.
This was a great story! I connected with Bianca right away. She’s trying to build her career in a male-dominated field, and the success of her career hinges on her client. Unfortunately, her client is a sexy young man who’s not even old enough to legally drink. By trying to pull him out of the fire, she gets burned right alongside him.
As much as I liked Bianca, I had trouble liking Brody. Sure, he was fun, flirty, and hot, but his arrogance was a bit too much for me at times. Once he started to mature and make better decisions, I grew to like and understand him better. Brody and Bianca are opposites, yet they fit well together and evened each other out.
The chemistry between them was off the charts. Ms. Queen sure knows hot to write steamy love scenes!
For readers of hockey romance, Lucky Puck belongs on your reading list.

Love, Christmas - Holiday stories that will put a song in your heart! (The Holiday Series, #1) by Leanne Banks
A sweet twist on the Grinch scenario. Gordon bottles up his anger and resentment along with loneliness and pain to the point where his bitterness overshadows everything that has importance in his life. Holly is the optimist that turns his life upside down and pulls him kicking and screaming into the magical season of hope, charity and faith. Maybe even love. I am not normally a fan of stories with Grinch or Scrooge like characters but there was something so compelling about Gordon that I show more couldn't look away. Deck the Hearts exposes what an open heart and open mind can do for the soul and the difference one action can make in the lives of others. show less
I began this series with the prequel because I like knowing the back story first; and what a story it was. Queen has started a series that has your heart racing with every turn of the page. Her descriptive style has you feeling like you're in the surf at Martha's Vineyard, and you wonder if she is a surfer gal -so good is her story telling. I love the heat between the two main characters; bad boy Dane and surfer gal Shana. They work together like a cat and dog, but always on the same page, show more seeming to read each other's thoughts. A really good summer read and I’m eager to start on chapter 2. show less
Author Queen has evolved this series from one of chick lit to some fairly serious reading. An abandoned baby takes center stage in this fast moving novel. Enter PI partners Dane and Shana, and the action heats up. These two are still attempting to determine just what it is between them – all business or a hot steamy relationship. Neither appear comfortable with either option, but they do not let that get in the way of solving the case. Queen has added a new level of intrigue with each show more chapter in the saga of Dane and Shana. It will be interesting to see how far she moves these two forward. show less
