a novelty book with pop up diagrams of each "wonder" - although only one small page of text devoted to each "wonder", book is still informative and most unusual, but fascinating [also first book i have seen that states "printed and bound in Colombia]

Featuring seven mythical creatures (the Dragon, Mermaid, Phoenix, Unicorn, Sphinx, Gorgon Medusa, and Pegasus) this small book uses fairly simple paper engineering to bring the fabled creatures to life. Each has a preceding description and history. My favorite pop-up is the beautiful phoenix who spreads her golden wings in the center of this book.
