I love this book. It reminds you to be honest in your research and work in genealogy, even if this is only for your own family. There are standards that all genealogists SHOULD abide by. This should be the first book you read if you are just getting started.
A solid foundational methodology for research anywhere, NOT just for North Carolina research. Detailed strategies for every type of record, anywhere. "Must have" for any personal library. Includes maps showing county divisions of N.C. 1700-1912.
Concise and informative instructions; it's also given me list of many more reference materials.
Short guide on genealogical standards that has more relevance for the professional genealogist than the hobbyist.
