The world's 1st Skydiver was Ms. Broadwick. From Tiny Broadwick came delayed falls. Freefall followed. Crude gizmos of flax and linen were fathered by bicycles and land lore. And the sky conquest went on. Albeit more than before. Georgia "Tiny" Broadwick, an American balloon-jumper and barnstormer, was the first woman to make an airplane jump, near San Diego, California; subsequently completing over 1100 jumps. In 1914, with the first free-fall, Tiny Broadwickâs jump with a delayed opening show more of the parachute began (made possible) Sport Parachuting. This pioneer parachutist made parachuting history repeatedly. This book chronicles that. Good photographs, some provided by Tiny & family. Author Roberson did good research. Nice photos. show less
