Larry Kent Graham

A good book overall. Perhaps the worst thing about the book is that it is a bit dated. Some fo teh pastoral care sections are going to be irrelevant because they are not applicable. However,the most uneven part is when the author attempts to show how same-sex relationships can be just as representative of the image of God as opposite sex relationships. While, he gives a good critique of the argument against that idea, his positive reconstruction is rather weak.

Graham presents a comprehensive book addressing the theoretical foundations of family systems along with a pastoral analysis and response. He not only deals with individuals but with congregations and with cultural/environmental issues.
