Even some fifty years after publication, this Traveler's Map of the British Isles provides an excellent overview of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the islands around the coasts. Only occasionally is it dated and there is much to learn about one's own country by reading this map - and there is much to read. The text is beautifully written and it is interesting to see our country through the eyes of Americans.
The Complete National Geographic: Every Issue Since 1888 Of National Geographic Magazine on Your Computer by John Hyde
Most excellent resource to have if you love National Geographic Magazines but have no room for them and can't find articles when you need them. Hands-down needed in any educated household - that is until 2007-2008 when it was made. That's the only drawback - you have buy the next edition to keep current.
Excellent article and full photos of the entire length of the Bayeux Tapestry. Only way it would be better would be if the pictures were bigger :)
Interesting article on Vinland and the Vikings, could wish for more detail though.
